In 2004, Spring Air Partners – North America, which help many of the licensees for producing Spring Air mattresses, went into bankruptcy. The company was purchased and merged with Consolidated Bedding. However, Consolidated Bedding declared bankruptcy in May of 2009. This doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to find Spring Air mattresses. Many are still for sale at various furniture and bedding stores. However, it is uncertain what the future of Spring Air is. Its parent company has sold off many of its assets. Most of the brand names and properties were purchased by E&E Bedding, a company that is actually ran by a former Spring Air executive. The Spring Air website is currently under construction, so no information is available from the company.
