Tempurpedic CelebrityBed

We used to own a Therapedic mattress, but after it began to get uncomortable to sleep on my husband and I decided to spend a bit more than we normally would on a new mattress. We'd had far too many restless nights over the years and wanted something that would last and be very comfortable.

After quite a bit of searching, we decided we liked the sound of a memory foam mattress. Originally we were just considering innerspring mattresses, but came across quite a few reviews that favored memory foam. We'd actually tried memory foam mattresses in our local store a few years earlier, but at the time we already had a perfectly good mattress which didn't yet need replacing.

We ended up going for the Tempurpedic CelebrityBed for just under $4000. We'd taken a closer look and feel of the mattress in the furniture store, but actually ordered online once we got home whilst we looked for any savings to be had.

As my husband has back problems we have been delighted by the support of the CelebrityBed. It has quite a firm base but a 2" pillow top, so it gives us a nice blend of support and comfort.

We've had the mattress around a month now, which is relatively short in terms of mattress lifespans (or should be!), but so far we still love it. I'd read quite a few mattress reviews online and noticed that all mattress models have positive and negative ratings, but this one gets a thumbs up from my husband and I.

It's still quite early to judge how much better this mattress is to others in terms of durability, but for comfort and support it's top notch. Let's just hope it stays that way for many more years. If it does, it's certainly worth the extra money we paid.
